RDPLEX films student athletes and sporting events for coaches, organizations, and players looking to submit highlight videos to prospecting colleges. Word of mouth is what drives our business along with our personal approach and interest in the student athletes and families we work with. When you become part of the team, you become part of the family. Our screening and training process ensures we select the right individuals to grow and succeed with.
What is required?
- Reliable transportation.
- Personality. Our clients often like to meet and tell you a bit about their Son or Daughter on game day. Your work and personality keep you busy and making money.
- Availability. A majority of our games start at 4pm on weekdays, 7pm on Friday nights and all hours on weekends. We do schedule in advance but we often receive last minute inquiries. We understand if you’re not able to make last minute events but the more jobs you take the more money you’ll make.
- Be early. Missing the opening kickoff, first pitch or tip off is unacceptable. We always want to be setup and ready to shoot 30 minutes prior to any game.
FAQs
- Do I need experience?
No. RDPLEX will train you. You will shoot side by side with one of our experienced videographers at least 3 times before going out on your own. You will also be paid during training (not full rate). - Do I need gear?
While preferred, we are prepared to loan out our cameras and tripods. If you do have your own gear please tell us what type of tripod and camera you have in the form below. - What is the pay?
If you are a beginner without your own gear you can expect to make $20-$25 per hour. Experienced shooters with professional gear can make $35-$50 per hour. - Will I have to travel?
You’re expected to travel within 20 miles of your location but when exceeding this we will pay you extra for travel. - Will I film anything else besides sports?
Yes. Our parent company RDPLEX.com films weddings, recitals and cooperate functions. We are busy all year and offer these jobs to our crew as well.
